This privacy policy explains how LIYA Sàrl (owner of “La Belle Croix”) processes the personal data of its guests and of visitors to its website. We attach great importance to protecting your privacy and treat your personal data confidentially, in accordance with the legal provisions, in particular the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

We collect the personal data that you voluntarily provide to us in various ways, in particular when you use our contact forms, send us enquiries or sign up for our services.

The types of personal data we process include in particular your surname, first name, email address, telephone number and, where applicable, any relevant information needed to process your requests (such as dates of stay, room preferences or food allergies).

3. Restaurant bookings and newsletters

Data retention: When you make a booking at our restaurant (by form, telephone or email), your data is collected to ensure your meal runs smoothly. This data is kept for the strict statutory periods required by Swiss commercial and accounting law, after which it will be deleted or anonymised.

Promotional communications: By providing us with your contact details (in particular your email address), you agree to receive occasional promotional communications from us (special offers, events, seasonal menus). You can of course unsubscribe at any time, very simply, by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email or by sending us a request by email.

4. Room bookings via RoomRaccoon

Room bookings on our website are handled by the external booking engine RoomRaccoon. When you access the room booking interface or complete a booking for a stay, the terms and conditions and privacy policy of RoomRaccoon apply to that platform.

RoomRaccoon acts as a highly secure data processor (Data Processor) to carefully collect the information required for your booking. 5. Disclosure of data to third parties

The use of your data is strictly limited to LIYA Sàrl and to third parties directly involved in the services you have requested. Your personal data is never sold, rented or traded to third parties. External service providers (such as our hosting provider Cloudflare, the form delivery service Web3Forms or our room booking system RoomRaccoon) that have access to your data do so solely for the technical purpose of providing our service, and are also required to respect your privacy.

6. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security methods and those of our booking and hosting partners (e.g. SSL/TLS encrypted connections) are continually improved in line with technological developments.

7. Your rights (Access, Rectification, Erasure)

In accordance with the FADP (Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection), you have the right:

To obtain information about the personal data we process.
To request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
To request the erasure of your personal data, unless we are required to retain it for legal reasons (accounting retention periods, possible disputes).

Cloudflare (website hosting and delivery): processes visitors’ IP addresses for security and page delivery.
Web3Forms (sending of contact and table booking forms): forwards the content of the form by email to the establishment.
RoomRaccoon (online room booking): room bookings are made on the RoomRaccoon platform, under its own privacy policy.
Google Maps (directions map on the Contact page): the map is loaded from Google’s servers, which may then process your IP address.
