A town steeped in history
Romont lies at the centre of French-speaking Switzerland and its town centre is always alive with events. Perched on its hill, the medieval town offers an exceptional panorama over the Fribourg Pre-Alps and the surrounding countryside.
Founded in the 13th century, Romont has preserved a rich architectural heritage, with its ramparts, castle and Gothic collegiate church. The town is also known for the Vitromusée, the Swiss Museum of Stained Glass, unique of its kind.
